I am a primary care giver

Spaniel

I’m not blowing my own trumpet. It’s just the way it is.
I look after people, maintain their welfare, help them become the best version of themselves.
I have always been more comfortable giving rather than taking. Strangely enough, I was at a healing circle group a month or two ago, and there were just two of us who held back from wanting to receive the healing from the group. It turns out that we both share the same birthday, this just a coincidence? Who knows?

Five years ago I made an instant decision to adopt another dog.
She is a black and tan Cocker Spaniel whom I call Mabel.

I had owned a cocker spaniel who lived with us for seventeen and a half years, before we had our four Scottish Terriers. The elder two, Thelma and Louise had both died and I had space in my heart and home for a rescue dog whose family couldn’t have her anymore.

It was as I’ve mentioned, a quick decision. I went to collect her the next morning.
Initially she was staying for the week end to see how she got on with my dogs and Amos, the Great Dane who also shared space with us.

Mabel has a heart of gold, and she is full of unconditional love.
From the moment she wakes up and sees me, her tail starts thumping and wagging.
She does not have a bad bone in her little body. When it’s time for her food, she literally does a happy dance chasing her tail. This dog was sent to me and came to remind me that the easiest way to experience unconditional love is through a dog.

Dogs are part of our soul group. When they die, they are looked after by our friends and family who have passed before us.

We are then reunited when our time comes. I know this unequivocally.
